Alpine Bombus International Meeting

WHY?

This is a meeting and workshop aimed at joining bumblebees experts (or soon to be) from all around the world.

Bombus species are facing strong changes in their distributions due to climate change, anthopogenic activities and diseases, in some cases with contractions and higher rarity. Yet, they are the key fauna especially in the alpine environments and they provide the important ecosystem services of pollinating crops and wild plants.

The meeting is focused on sharing studies and ideas on the bumblebees and on planning future development under ecologic, taxonomic, conservationist and biogeographic perspectives. We want to meet in order to coordinate our efforts and better understand this fauna.

There will be also the  possibility of showing posters and studies.
